Walking Routes and Shortcuts

If you are walking along or crossing Section Road, please use caution. Our driveway is active, and pedestrians should yield to vehicles and avoid blocking traffic lanes.

A commonly used pedestrian path to the synagogue can be accessed through the Edelstein residence located behind Sha’arei Torah at 7258 Laurel Oak Lane. Their driveway connects to a wooded path leading to the synagogue parking lot. We are grateful to the Edelstein family for providing this convenient access route.

Please note that Brookwood Lane is a private road and should not be used as a pedestrian shortcut to the synagogue. As part of our agreement with Amberley Village and neighboring residents, congregants are asked to avoid using this route and help us maintain positive relationships with our neighbors.

Driving and Parking

Congregation Sha’arei Torah is located at the end of a long driveway off Section Road. Please follow the driveway up the hill and keep to the right at the fork.

Our parking lot includes thirty designated spaces. For safety reasons, and to ensure emergency access, vehicles must only be parked in these marked spaces.

Parking along the driveway, beside the synagogue building, or in front of the house is not permitted.

Strollers

Strollers may be parked beneath the roofline along the exterior of the synagogue building. To keep entrances accessible and the lobby clear, please do not leave strollers inside the lobby or blocking doorways.

Seating

Seating at Sha’arei Torah is open and unassigned.

Security

The safety of our community is a top priority at Congregation Sha’arei Torah. Our campus is monitored during services and events, and we work closely with SAFE Cincinnati, a Jewish community security resource that supports local organizations in maintaining strong safety practices throughout Ohio.

If you are visiting for the first time, you may be greeted by a member of our security team or asked to briefly introduce yourself upon arrival.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

Accessibility

Sha’arei Torah is committed to ensuring that our campus is accessible to all members and guests. Accessible parking spaces and building entry points are available in the synagogue parking lot.

If you have specific accessibility needs or questions before visiting, please feel free to contact the synagogue office.
